Go to https://www.google.com and search for

cache:your blog/post/page url(link)

If your blog post is not indexed, it will give you 404 error same as seen in the  image below.

Whenever you publish your new blog post or page, check that post url after 1-2 days, depends upon Page rank of your blog, how regular are you updating and promoting your blog. Rock on kids… If your blog post been indexed in google, you will see snapshot of the cached copy same as seen in the image below. Double click on image for larger view.

Alexa submission Tutorial to drive alexa traffic

Alexa is important to know popularity, reviews for your webpage it will help to promote your blog/website/product and most advertisers will see/determine data from the alexa to know about traffic. It is very important to monetize your blog. The lower alexa rank is better for your blog/website. Mine started with 8 digits and lowered to 6 digits but 4 digit is much more better. You can check alexa rank by widget or SEO book toolbar for FF or directly from your alexa account.

How to submit your website/blog to Alexa with step by step guide: This tutorial was written while I was submitting my kids blog Education Free to alexa.

1) Create your account on www.alexa.com or login with your Facebook account.
2) Click On the “My Account” tab on the right side corner
3) Go to “dashboard” option
4) Click on “My sites”
5) Click on Add a site blue button same as seen in the image below.

Upload the file to the root directory of your site.

Option 2: This option is easy and non-techique people can do it easily

As seen in the image and click on “Verify my ID” option once you have added to the head section.. This id is just as meta tag that we learn to submit site to google and bing search engine.

11). Now click on “continue”
12) In the next step “Check My Public Listing Information”, you have to add site information, it is not compulasry though, I prefer to write Site title, site information and select country. If you don’t select the country it will show global rank only otherwise you can see rank in global as well your selected country.

Guide for submitting a Blogger(Blogspot)sitemap to Google webmaster tool for indexing your new Blogpost

Step by step guide for blogger, WordPress and selfhosted WordPress blog to submit their blog’s sitemap to Google. So whenever you post new article (post), Google will get informed about your blog/site updates. In my last tutorial, you learned how to submit your blog/website to google through Google Webmaster Tool, next we step, we have to do is “Submit your sitemap to this tool. For this process first you need to learn what is sitemap, how to create sitemap for your blog. Process for creating sitemap is different for Blogspot (blogger), Free WordPress, Free weebly and Self-hosted WordPress. Here, is a guide for all platforms to create sitemap and submission to google. After adding my blog’s sitemap to google, I’ve seen 20% of traffic increases from google search engine, though my blog contains only 20 post..

How to submit you Blogspot sitemap to Google webmaster tool

You must have to create your rss through feedburner before doing this whole process.

 1) Go to google webmaster

2) Click on your blog name (In the last tutorial, we learned how to add blogspot blog to Google Search engine and how to add other blogging platforms to google webmaster)

3) On the right-bottom of the page, there is Submit a sitemap link- click on that link

4) On next page, there is again submit a sitemap button, when you click on that

it gives following box

http://yoursitename.blogspot.com/

 Submit  sitemap

3) Now add  following in this box

add “atom.xml” or “rss.xml”  in this box OR you can add both of them but make sure to do one by one. I recommend you to add all three types of sitemap. For me more posts were indexed by adding following sitemaps:

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

rss.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

What to do if you have 500 post?

1)In this box add following code

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

OR

Rss.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

Your 500 post links will be updated in the sitemap.

What to do if you have more than 500? You need to submit each line one by one

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=2001&max-results=500

OR

Instead of atom, you can add rss

You can see after Index=1, then index=501 means more 500 post so total 1000 post submission same way you can do 2000-3000 blog posts submission.

Once you are done with all submission, you don’t need to do every time; webmaster tool will automatically pull your new blog post feed.

Now next to sitemap url, you can see green tick mark(that is verified sign), how many url is submitted and how many are been  indexed….It takes time to get each blog post indexed but believe me if it starts getting indexed, your blog will appear more in Google.
