How to add facebook like and send button after and before each post in Blogspot(blogger)-Easy tutorial

Today, My blogger friend asked this question and here is an easy solution for blogspot blogs as well as other free blogging platforms.

  • Go to blogger dashboard under my blogs

  • click on Template as shown in below image. (double click on image to view in full screen)This image is for dofollow blogdirectory blog Facebool like and send button in blogspot blog tutorial
  • Click on” Edit HTML” button.
  • Check the box Expand Widget Templates.Back-up your template if you are not confident.
  • search for <data:post.body/> by pressing CTLR+F key.
  • Add following code before <data:post.body/> (if you want to add facebook like and send button after your post title.
  • <div id=”fb-root”></div><script src=”http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1″></script><fb:like href=”” send=”true” layout=”button_count” width=”500″ show_faces=”false” font=””></fb:like>
  • If you want to add Facebook like and send button in the end of your blogger(blogspot) post, add same code after  <data:post.body/>

Another sharing widgets are:

1) Sharing is sexy widget

2) Share the knowledge widget , Share the wealth etc

3) ShareThis, 

4) AddThis

google out those words and you will find codes, you have to add code same as shown in this tutorial.

    The code isn’t working for me. This is the error I get.

    “Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly. XML error message: Open quote is expected for attribute “id” associated with an element type “div”.
    Error 500″

    Would you know what I’m doing wrong? Any suggestions?

    • This error occurs when you add some widget code or meta tags. All tags must be closed using a forward slash and shift+ period key

      Ex-

      so before or after div if there is space or any greater or less than sign is missing it gives this error..so close all div tags related to “id” attribute, it will take time though. another option is revert back your template to original one but whatever changes you had done in the template will be vanished

  2. I have tried making some changes to my template to correct this error, but it didn’t work. I don’t want to go back to default template since I’ve customized my template. I’ll keep looking for a way to work this out. Thanks a lot for your help!
